What is quickest way to travel in the space? - space travel

We always talk about the space and lots of movies about space and stuff. But how many of our science has achieved so far? With the known methods of how long it really necessary to reach the nearest star to? What are the known obstacles?

with known methods, we can reach the nearest star, without barriers to grocery, waste and air.
The Sun is our nearest star;)

Otherwise, I think that means the nearest star neighbor island ... Current technology will get us there. Cryogenics and should never be put back on the ground, because the problem of distance ... and the fact that we are limited to conventional fuels, nuclear or ion ...
